MemberI’m looking for a decent web hosting service for a site I’m considering putting together. I haven’t entirely decided how everything is going to work, but I believe I’ll need some sort of server side scripting (Probably PHP) for it.
Any suggestions? 😀

MemberBe aware that 1&1’s three year hosting deal expires the twenty first of this month. I have one that I made but never used if anyone wants it. I got it a few weeks ago =) Also be aware that you need to buy a domain to use the 1&1 hosting, but if you mean something like geocities where u get geocities.com/yourscreenamehere then some good selections are geocities, tripod, and angelfire. I am looking for a free file storage site with alot of bandwith and about 10-50 megs of space if anyone knows of anything.

You do NOT have to buy a domain to use 1and1.com. You can use the crappy domain they give you, or if you already have a domain registered already, you can use that. If you don’t have a domain but want one, you can get one through them for only $5.95.
One other comment on 1and1: For the special deal (which expires very soon) you don’t even need a credit card. All you need is a phone number in the U.S. or Canada, which their automated system will call to give you the access code.
And yes, I know a bit about the 1and1.com offer, because http://www.MessengerMods.com is hosted using them! 😎
