Guys, if you encounter and bugs, or wish to provide feedback and give Yahoo opinions or suggestions, then I urge you to go to this site and provide feedback to Yahoo about it. Don’t do it just once either. Do it multiple times.

Confirmed Bugs/Issues:
-Chat errors pop up when trying to send messages (happens with all versions of Yahoo! Messenger) in chat rooms.
-Can’t use alias IDs in chat room (I cannot confirm this since alias IDs work for me in the chat rooms).
-“Ignore Anyone Not On Friends List” still causes you to see no text from a chat room when enabled.
-“Cannot ignore yourself” dialog boxes pop up when somebody floods the chat room.
-Horizontal scrollbar is created in the chat room user list when the window loses focus, or a window obscures it.
-No option/preferences to turn off or on Tips in the IM windows. An option used to be under Preferences > General.
-Missing vital LaunchCAST options in Yahoo! Messenger’s preferences.
-The WordFilter bug is still not fixed. Yahoo! Messenger only reads the global registry key, instead of the per account WordFilter key.
-The chat room taskbar icon when minimized doesn’t flash on new message arrival (hasn’t since Yahoo! Messenger v7.0).
-Crash on startup (nspr4.dll crash) for some users.
-Crashes on shutdown half of the time (for some users).
-Yahoo! Messenger and the servers itself are still exploitable.Confirmed Annoyances/Things That Could Be Changed:
-Integrated chat room captcha window like Mac Messenger. This is obvious why this is needed.
-No tabbed IM/PM support, which a lot of users out there would like to have.
-No option to use or change skin to a “classic” type of skin.
-Call history is always displayed when you log in
-Can’t get rid of the mail alert attached to the messenger window.
-Can’t force Yahoo! Messenger to only display your display picture only. The old style was best.
-Inability to turn off the chat room word filter and make it stay off (also considered an issue). Workaround is either to change the global WordFilter key, or delete/rename the filter1.enc file in the Y!M install directory.
-The video player in IM windows has the potential to be misused by malicious users.
-Can’t get rid of the phone status (PC-to-PC bar below your ID) display under your ID and status.
-The top display picture and buddy list avatars/display pictures are on the right instead of the left (v8.1 and below style). There should be an option for the user to choose if he/she wants display pictures on the left or right, or disabled all together (disabling for the buddy list ones only).Some of these might be outdated now, but I’m waiting for confirmation before removing stuff. =)
I’m not sure multiple feedbacks is really effective. Your IP address is submitted with your feedback, so even if you change all of your other identifiers, they can still identify you. Moreover, if they do see that you’re submitting the same feedback multiple times, they might get annoyed. It only takes one well-formulated complaint to make them aware of a problem.
—Let them identify me. 😛 As long as they know whom is trying to help them improve Messenger. =)
Even better would be if they would show you some tangible monetary appreciation for your help!
After all, Yahoo sure needs help! For every step forward they take, it seems like they take 3 steps backward into errorland too!
You would think that with the bot problem still not resolved that folks would have their priorities in order. Nope! Spending time on an uneeded beta version instead of spending the time reworking the batched bot fix. Go figure….
Just to let you all know i have not only updated ad destroy 3.6 to handle the two 9.0 builds
but i have also released Ad destroy .NET beta which will work in vista and also supports both 9.0 beta builds.
Yremover is also getting rewritten in .NET and be finished this week.

My analysis on few of the bugs mention by Venom,

–This is because after messenger version 6, yahoo merged the IM ignore list and chat room ignore list. Previously there used to be a seperate temporary ignore list for chat room only, which was deleted once you logout from a chat room. While your IM ignore list is permenant. Now after they merged both, anyone who you ignore in the chat room will also go to your permenant IM ignore list and vice versa i.e. anyone you ignore in IM will also be ignored in the chat room main window. So when you select “Ignore anyone not on my list”, you cannot see anyone in the chat room that are not on your friend list.“”Cannot ignore yourself” dialog boxes pop up when somebody floods the chat room.”
— This is a real stupid bug on their part. Fix must be as simple as correcting one word typo in the source code. Yahoo messenger had a feature to ignore someone in the room who is spaming/flooding. Now some stupid person changed the variable to ignore spamming id by mistake and now the messenger tries to ignore your id instead of ignoring the spamming person’s id. But the original yahoo author (in version 3-4 days) was smart enough to put in a code that gives you an error when you try to ignore yourself. If that wasn’t there it would have been a bigger blunder. You would get ignored yourself when someone spams and you can do nothing after that unless you uninstall yahoo and clear all its saved files and registry keys.Besides that I have a big complaint. I don’t know why anyone hasn’t mentioned that yet. New beta takes literally 5 minutes to launch. Its resource comsuming piece of crap and colors. Yahoo has hired really crappy team of programmers after version 6. Ever since version 6, they are only adding bells and whistles and are introducing more and more bugs in the original robust code. Back in days during version 4, chat room functionality used to be a lot more robust. New team has focused on making the messenger look better for teenagers. And I am sure they have no idea about the chat room side of source code, they have done nothing but introduce bugs in chat room functionality since version 6.
