SHADOW_WALKER
MemberI have never had a problem with yahoo messenger till this new version.
I clicked update.only to have everything messed up big time!…..
First:
The toolbars buttons in yahoo toolbar wouldn’t respond cept for the drop down list. then only a couple worked after that…….
Second:
The messenger itself will not let me click any tab or actions (emoticon/enviroments or and right clicks) without closeing the entire program!
I mean it close main window. Message window and removes itself from taskbar and I need to go to “MYprogrames” or IE button to start the whole program again…
If in a chat I can type the Emoticon :).no prob I get smily face.but I click Smily face to open emoticon and it will Close out everything?
Now I have deleted everything and run Cleaners to wipe everything from computer many times and have downloaded a new app each time.Only to have same problem re-accure
I went back to my original I had on puter only to have “Now” the same problems!.LOL
I’m at a lost……….Like I said.I have never had problems with messenger…My computer is updated everytime an update is ready…Virus protections updated each day……..Anti spy ware updated each day….>
And between each attempt.I clean the puter with ccCleaner then reboot before new download……I have Clicked to run.on downloader..as well saved to computer then run app….Nothing works!…
But I did get my old yahoo tool bar to work as before by not including updated one that comes in the new Messenger update…But thats all I can get to work Proiperly……….
Please help!!!!!!!!
I love my Yahoo mesenger….
I have MSN messenger as well.no problems…And Windows messenger is not used.
Can you help or stir me in the right direction…….I tried 6 times sending Yahoo a request for help.but in almost 2 wekks I have yet to get a reply! Thanks for any help rendered
Walk in peace
Peace and blessings to all that seek…

MemberWelcome to BBB.
Are you possibly using “WindowBlinds”? WindowBlinds and Yahoo messenger do not work well together and will cause some similar problems that you are having. If this is the case you can go into your WindowBlinds application and exclude Yahoo messenger.

MemberShadow,
I can help you–I found this in another topic. Here is how to fix it step by step
1. Go to WindowsBlinds
2. Click on ‘Configure’
3. Click on ‘Per Application’
4. It will open up–find the .exe for Yahoo Messenger (should be C:/Program Files/Yahoo/Messenger
5. Click on it
6. Click on Modify
7. Check only the first box
8. Check OKShould be all Set

THANK YOU SO MUCH! Hehe! I ended up searching for this problem in the yahoo search, and it came up with a link to another forum entry here at BBB. It really helped me… now that I know I’m not goin crazy LOL. Anyways, thank you so much for the step-by-step! The other members entry didn’t really provide that much information, so thank you so much!
