MemberHelp will be given to you if you don’t play with font sizes.
Well anyway…
You need to have Java installed in order to be able to go in the chatrooms. 🙂February 16, 2004 at 3:51 am #49707don kill me or ill cry

ParticipantThe font styles and colors are supported by the forum so that you can emphasize certain points, not your entire post.
And why do you type the last letter of each sentence so many times? It’s really annoying to read.

There is no such thing as a computer program called “IRC”. IRC stands for ‘Internet Relay Chat’ and requires two things to function properly. A server and a client.
Now the server is ran by our friends at Wsyntax and the client is provided by us, namely, the webchat client. Of course you can use any other IRC client that you like, but for a beginning user I recommend you to visit our webchat, install the plugin and chat away. 🙂

MemberYes, you cannot download IRC, but you can an IRC client such as mIRC… I prefer mIRC than the applet, and I customized mine a looong time ago. 🙂

ParticipantDJHyperbyte’s being dodgy. [:P]
Long story short, no. You don’t need an IRC client. To use BBB’s pop-up chat window, all you need is Java installed. I myself prefer to use the IRC client medium included in Trillian. To connect to the BBB chat via an IRC client, just enter the following info:
Server: rakka.irc.wsyntax.com
Port: 6667
Channel: #bigblueballOtherwise if you’re just sticking to the Java window, be sure to have the latest version of Java — and all should be fine. 🙂
