MemberDoes anyone know if it is possible to set one of the smiley sets in the BigBlueBall Smiler as my default set or if I can mix sets to form my default set? I was thinking it might be possible using a technique similar to that of making your own set – but I want other people to see them without having to install them. Just wondering. Thanx!!!

KeymasterAs far as I know, it’s not possible… yet! I suspect that this may change in a future release of AIM.

Hmmmm…. are you running AIM 5.1? What is your operating system?

Memberit is AIM 5.1. And none of the Christmas trees work.

KeymasterI just tested the Christmas trees, and they do work, although they were broken until about a week ago. You might be using a cached version. Try pressing F5 after loading the BigBlueBall Smiler to refresh the underlying code.
Is it safe to assume that the other smileys do work? 🙂

KeymasterSnowmen were also fixed previously. Refresh the page (F5) to make sure you’re not getting a cached version.

MemberI refreshed and I am having the same problem with the snowmen as well Jeff.

KeymasterThe code is correct and I’ve confirmed that the snowmen smileys do work. If you don’t see them, try the standard debugging procedure. Close the IM window, reopen and send it again. Repeat several times if necessary.

MemberWhenever I try to use the smilies, the same thing that happened above happends. Even after I hit the smily i want, and hit ‘copy to clipboard’ and ctrl + v, all that shows up is 🙂 or 8-). I can’t see my friends smilies either, not even after we start a new im box or even log off and back on. Do you know whats wrong? I’m running aim 5.1, i checked. I also have aol 7.0, although i have not tried using the smilies with it. The aol connection wouldn’t be a problem, would it?

What is your operating system? Also, be sure you’re actually using AIM 5.1 and not the messenger built-in to the AOL 7.0 software.

MemberWhen i put the link of Magic Smilies on my toolbar (the one at the bottom of the screen, where the start menu is) it always puts it down there as an Internet explorer icon, and my internet explorer is version six but it doesn’t work, and netscape is my default browser, and i would like to change it to a Netscape Icon. Is there anyway i can do this?

MemberI don’t understand what you are trying to say fatchef45? If you
put a link on the Quicklaunch bar then it will show up as an IE
icon unless you change it to something else.If you would like to change it simply Right Click < Properties <
Shortcut < Change Icon -
