It’s been said that change is the only constant. Seasons change, technology changes, tastes change, and yes, even the BigBlueBall Staff changes.
First, I’d like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Marcus (aka Shifter), who has been a valued staff member here at BigBlueBall for a long time. Marcus has pulled double-duty, serving as Team Leader for both the MSN/WLM and the Yahoo! Messenger sections. Marcus is a talented guy who brought a lot of good ideas, insight and leadership to BigBlueBall, and now it’s time for him to move on. He’s busy with his family, his work and his lastest passion: creating plug-ins for WordPress. He’ll likely be around, but if you want to hunt him down, you can find him at his blog.
Next, I’d like to welcome our newest Team Leader, Vanessa (aka hatedjealousy). Vanessa takes over the reins of the Yahoo! Messenger section, where she’s been very active as an Advisor. She brings a real passion for Yahoo! Messenger and the ability to handle difficult situations with grace. Vanessa frequently visits the BigBlueBall IRC channel. That’s dedication!You’ll notice that leaves an opening in the MSN/WLM Team. For now, I’ll be personally filling in as Team Leader, a task made so much easier by our crack MSN team: detn8r, princeG and evilseph. I’ll be looking for someone to replace me, so watch for an announcement.
Join me in welcoming Vanessa as our newest Team Leader, and wishing Marcus the best in all his endeavors.
Thank you Marcus for all your dedication in this forum, although I’m here for much less time than you, I can definitely tell that your contribution has been something more than valuable. Good luck with everything!
Vanessa, I believe that’s compulsory! If there’s someone around BBB at the moment that meets the requirements to fill Yahoo’s team leader position, that’s definitely you. Keep up the great work from your new post 😉

Ah, shifter, so sorry to see you go. You’ve been around for as long as I can remember, and now time’s a changin’. You had a good run here to say the least, though, and I’m sure everyone here wishes you the very best in whatever you continue to do in life.
