:confused: When I use my Logitech Web Cam with MSN6 all I see in what should be my self view box is a black box. Other users say they can view my image just fine however. Its frustrating to no end thought because I have no way of knowing if I am in view ok or if my head is being cut off or if only my chin is showing or heavens forbid,if my hair is ok….lol…Seriously though I have used web cams for ever and my Logitech web cam works excellent in Yahoo and Paltalk. It also worked awesome in MSN prior to upgrading to 6. I have tried to run the wizzard but its greyed out and doesnt allow me to. I have the latest drivers for my camera so thats not it. My camera works fine when using its bundled software also so its not an issue with my camera I feel. Any suggestions:confused:Thanks in advance.:)
This is frustrating… I know I read a topic where somone had exactly the same problem and now I can’t find it.
Anyway, the only thing I can suggest is contacing MSN Messenger Support about this (Contact Form). Several people have reported this problem and, as far as I know, no fix has been found yet.
:DThanks Roland…I did just as you suggested so I guess I will have to cross my fingers that I get a reply back on this problem. Soon I hope I won’t have to stare at a black box self image when I am on my web cam in msn. It’s giving me a complex…lol :D:)
😎 I got a reply back from MSN Help but I was instructed do the same old same old trouble shooting things that I had already tried. I instead based on reading a few other peoples topics here just decided to also download the MSN6.1. I then used the Video set up wizzard and tada now I can see my self image!
Guess this topic is now over . Now if I could only figure out how to close this topic! :confused::confused:I should’ve asked if you were using the latest version and saved you some time [v]
