I have read the problem with black video screen in MSN and was wodering if anyone ever found a fix for this I have just started getting it and did not do anything to the pc. I use it everyday and then one day that was it no image why why why.
What internet connection do you have?
ADSL witha belkin wireless router although i am connected diirectly to the router and firewall has been dsiabled woth UPNP enabled. But it has been working before.
i had this problem on a friend’s machine
our particular solution was downloading the driver from the company that made the webcam
Tries that last night new drivers the works still no joy the camera it self works perfect outside of MSN. I have just tried it at work with friend use my camera plugged it in and bosh perfect very strange and annoying.
any luck with this? I am seeing the same thing.
The audio/tuning wizard shows the webcam working correctly, but when I offer a webcam to someone, it shows black on my side and they don’t see me.
The one weird thing I saw was when I click on Tools –> Webcam Settings, my Logitech webcam doesn’t show…but the audio/video wizard shows it just fine.
I resolved my problem by plugging the camera directly into an onboard USB port. Originally it was plugged into a PCI USB port (used to a 4 more USB ports to my computer).
Hope this helps….now I have to troubleshoot audio. I can receive from one friend, but I can’t transmit. Both volume indicators are working on my side, but he doesn’t see my volume indication on his side.
