So, the other day I bought a used Motorola W755 phone from ebay and received it and tried to activate it. I had some problems in doing so, so I called Verizon. I was using the correct MEID from the sticker behind the battery, but Verizon Support told me to check the MEID through the phone’s own menu and when it displayed on the phone, the MEID was totally blank, so I could not activate it. How is it that this phone has no identification? Can this be fixed? Is there someway I can still use this phone, or should I return it to the seller?
This is outside my area of expertise, I’m afraid…. but I am curious. What did the Verizon rep say?
She said that the phone can’t be activated. She told me I should return it. But I just find it very strange that there is NOTHING under the MEID menu screen.
