When i used linux briefly, I was using a IM application that supported MSN. It had a padlock symbol next to a contact that had blocked me. Is there any sort of add-on that will let me see this on MSN Messenger? I have MSN Messenger Version 7.5 (Build 0299). If this is not possible, what Win32 IM appplication will support this feature?
Well how many years ago was that exactly, I haven’t ever heard before of something to notify you that you’re blocked. It’s only the online status checkers that can tell with no accuracy at all.

EDIT: Kopete was the client i used
maybe that padlock means that these people are blocked by you, and not you from them.
It was definatly a blocked meaning. You had to hover over the name to see if they blocked you.
I really don’t know what to say on this Stan, since this is a Linux thing I guess only people with Linux will be able to know something more. Still this sound strange, let me look more into it though.
Was aMSN you where using? There is also a windows-version of that program 🙂 And Gaim can also show you who has blocked you.
Uh, actually it can’t show you who has blocked you. If you’re talking about the “has you:yes” “blocked:yes” when you look on someones info, that is if YOU have blocked them 😉 I double checked it.
And I don’t think there’s a Windows version for Kopete yet mate.
