my mate says at work they are going to install this. Does this mean he cannot talk on im anymore? Will everything we say be seen? Emails eveything….Any idea please!!
Most likely… You should be working at work, not IMing…
Now with all seriousness aside, there is a way to get around that, if you can get the computer to boot off of floppy or cdrom, are you able to do this?
yes then what

burn yourself a PCLinuxOS CD, then when you have the need to talk on IM/browse the web, you just throw it into the cd drive and boot from it.
If you need a boot floppy instead of the cd let me know and I’ll get you a link.
Of course, if you boot from disk, then you won’t be able to do any real work without rebooting to your corporate OS, and it’s still no guarantee of safety. Most corporations use proxy servers to control access to web sites (regardless of your operating system and browser, he’ll probably have to go through that proxy server to access the internet). Some also monitor specific ports and can log IM traffic.
ok, and what exactly is bloodhound? i can make a pretty decent guess at it, but i couldnt find anything on google quickly enough that it would be a primary result…
Looks pretty nasty. 😉
