I really need a boss key for AIM. MSN (With MegPlus!) has a thing where you press a key combination (Ctrl+Space for me) and it hides MSN and there isn’t any sound. It changes the MSN icon into whatever you want too.
Can I be done? Has it been done?

I am looking here at the AIM+ software features which quotes…
“Customizable hotkey to pop-up/hide your Buddy List.” Give it a try and see if that works for ya! I don’t use AIM+ though cause I already have DeadAIM running which I prefer instead.August 14, 2003 at 1:43 am #91987DavidParticipantQuote:quote:Originally posted by WhiteMateriaHey David

Have you tried just getting an overall Boss key program and installing it? Then you could check AIM to have it set to a hotkey and hide it along with other things. Instead of having to do this mabye twice for MSN and AIM if you are on both of them 1 time would do it for both. =)

The problem with that is it doesn’t hide incoming IMs. Like if you hide your list, and you get an IM, It comes up even though you want it hidden…
Thanks anyway…

i dont know if that’d help you out though…August 14, 2003 at 3:33 am #91985DavidParticipantQuote:quote:Originally posted by TigerbladeQuote:The problem with that is it doesn’t hide incoming IMs. Like if you hide your list, and you get an IM, It comes up even though you want it hidden…Quote:usually with DeadAIM (at least in my experience) the incoming IM doesnt show up as a regular-sized window, its automatically minimized to the taskbar… yeah its a big flashing button with the AIM icon, but it doesnt popup as a full chat window…
i dont know if that’d help you out though…Uh, yeah, I know….The truth is that I tested this with a friend, and he doesn’t have DeadAIM…..I think seeing “SK98Dave Instant Messages” will defeat the purpose.
