I think the only way to show AOL we are all tired of their crap is by simply boycotting they programs and services. We need to switch another messenger such as Yahoo! or MSN. I personally like AIM all and all, but AOL just pisses me off. I’ve been working to organize a boycott and stop the monopoly. AOL wants complete control over the IM industry for nothing more than bragging rights and stock earnings. When AOL is able to copyright HTML, it should be clear there is a serious problem. We all need to stop using their services just because other people that we connect with are on them too. Think about it, if Yahoo! was the main instant message software used by Americans, wouldn’t you use it? Well I would. And it is this reason that people dont leave AOL. If we could get a majority of the people to leave AOL, the minority would too. If we no longer supported their software by making progz, addons, mods, and other ways of endorsing use, a lot of people would probabaly stop using their services. Many people should wise up and find a new messenger. I hate them, and I am sure most of you do too. So lets stop their monopoly and show them they are not all-powerful.

AOL Canada is totally different than America Online. I’ve talked to a operator from the US and they were totally more ignorant than the ones in Canada……. and weirdly enough that they dont share information like this with the Canadian services. 8.0 doesnt hit Canada for a few months, so… meaning that we wont be able to use the smilies that come with 8.0 that AOL doesnt want you to use……… thats fuggin retarded. Why release something like that if they dont want the rest of the world seeing until its released in their country when contacts of theirs from the States can share the wealth with them already??
