Looks like the conversations between the UE Competition Comission and Microsoft didn´t succed in the end.
Mario Monti says it has been impossible to reach an agreement with Microsoft about the problems this company is causing to competition. The comission will announce its sanction next Wednesday.
The comission expects Microsoft to fight the sanction in front of the european legal organizations, so the actual enforcement of the sanction might be delayed.
All UE members and all members of the Technic Commitee that carried up the investigation, agreed to the sanction. REUTERS news agency, says Ballmer´s propossal of making distributors include an alternative Multimedia Player, along with Windows Media Player to avoid the sanction was not accepted by Monti, and that negociations, that started last Tuesday have been definitelly broken.
Well…let´s see what happens with this..any opinion/comment/new on this question?
