hey does anyone know of a good program to make aim buddy icons ive searched google and i found nothing
Any image editor should do. Except buddy icons can’t be too big. I believe the size is at 48 by 48 pixels. Just use any old image editor and try not to make the file too big (not sure the size). There isn’t really a program I know of specifically for Buddy Icons.
the size is approx 7kb i believe
Well I make all mine 50×50 pixels and 7k or lower and they work fine. Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 and Jasc animation shop 3 work quite well.
50×50 under 7.1k
I make them in Adobe Photoshop.
If you do not have other programs, you can make them in Paint (standard with all computers – Start >> Accessories >> Paint) and then use a GIF animator to animate them, such as CoffeeCup GIF Animator.
does anybody know of freeware GIF animators?
CoffeeCup GIF Animator (says its only a free trial but from what I’ve been told it doesn’t really ever expire)
Ahh ok nice. ya I downloaded coffeecup yesterday, so I haven’t passed the (15 day?) expiration yet, so I guess we’ll see once I pass that. thanks
