Buddy List Disappearing

Hi !! Does anyone know about a problem with the AOL buddy list refreshing , ( disappearing and reappearing after a few seconds) and showing you are offline when you are still online and active, even while carrying on a conversation via IM ? It also happens on my Compuserve (it has the AOL IM) program, could it be a conflict between the pc and these programs? Others have had this similar problem, we just can’t find a solution?? It tends to do this when a buddy comes online/offline or I recv’ email ?? It started when I got my new pc a month ago. My “old” pc worked fine with them….lol, go figure!

TIA any help is greatly appreciated!!!
