my friends canceled their aol service and was able to use their aol names on aim but then aol messed that up. they made new aim sns but they want their buddylst back from their old names but never saved it. is there any way to retrieve it?
Probably not. This is why it’s a good idea to backup your buddy list periodically.
They might be able to sign-up for AOL again (using one of the dozens of free trial CDs everyone has) and use their old AOL name. It will depend on how long it’s been since they cancelled their AOL account. No guarantees, but it might work.
If it’s been more than 30 days, they’re probably out of luck.
