I’ve had this problem at about the same time since I got 5.9, maybe with 5.5 as well, but my buddy list constantly pops up to the top while I’m typing or while I’m surfing the internet. I don’t know how the heck it started but it’s almost impossible to type a sentence without it popping up and opening other IM windows open when I hit letters without realization. Please someone help me!!!

why dont you just close the buddy list? thats what I do (only because theres no other way to get rid of it, but you know what I mean)
This is one of the most annoying things AIM has ever done, coming close to the annoyingness of the “Send IM Greeting” button located between the Direct Connect and Emoticon buttons. The best way to alleviate this problem until and unless AIM releases a fix is to close your buddy list entirely when you aren’t using it.
