Part of my buddy list just disappeared. Is there any way to restore it or do I have to repopulate it manually? I would rather not have to deal with that since it was a good 20 or so names that I lost.
August 9, 2003 at 6:56 pm #57464DavidParticipantYou can’t just ‘lose’ 20 screen names from your list. Did you move them into a category and the category is closed? You could use a saved copy of your buddy list (IF you saved a copy), or System restore and look in your info.bag file and manually put them back on your list.
August 9, 2003 at 7:31 pm #57470cardsharkMemberI think they were accidentally deleted as I was cleaning up my list. I can’t find the saved copy of the buddy list. Do you know what the file name would be?
August 9, 2003 at 7:38 pm #57467ShadowSlayer469MemberI don’t know what you would have saved it as but just do a search for “*.blt” without the quotes.

Thats interesting, I blocked you for a reason, I didn’t want to talk to you, or see you naked, or any anything.

I don’t find it funny at all.
Cheergirl07874, do not post forum messages asking for other people to contact you personally.
ShadowSlayer469, what you posted is a matter between you and someone else. Please contact them via e-mail.
Spawn11, try to avoid posts that only contain “LMAO really?” or “LOL its so funny!”. Those posts are not interesting to read and a waste of forum space, bandwith, computer resources and my eyes. This a forum ladies and gentlemen, not a chatroom.
August 10, 2003 at 8:48 pm #57469cardsharkMemberWell, that was interesting. Back to the original point of this thread. Does anyone else have any info on restoring my buddy list to its former glory?
August 10, 2003 at 9:11 pm #57465Someguy03Memberback to the POINT of the topic, you wont be able to get back your buddy list unless it is saved on your computer. Aol should keep your buddy list for safe keeping on their servers so you can access it if needed but they dont. It would be a good feature for later times. And if you dont know everyone who you lost and you have a logger you can alyways use that to find out what screen names you missing.
August 10, 2003 at 9:32 pm #57468cardsharkMemberOh well. Thanks for the assistance. I guess this can be closed or deleted now.

So when i finally tricked her into admitting she wasnt a model shes all “f u” and then she blocked me. O well, its all good with me. But about your buddy list, you wont be able to get it back unless you saved it on your computer.
I’m really gonna have to ask Jeff set you back to a ‘BigBlueNewbie’, because you’re not showing the common sense a ‘Veteran’ should have.
Do I really have to explain you the basic purposes of a forum here? You see, there are a lot of different categories here. This is the ‘AOL Instant Messenger’ category. That means, you should only make posts that are relevant to ‘AOL Instant Messenger’. Then, the ‘AOL Instant Messenger’ forum consist of a lot of different discussions, or ‘topics’, as we call them. Each topic covers it’s own part of ‘AOL Instant Messenger’. You should only post replies to a topic if the reply you are posting is relevant to that topic.
75% of your post is about some 53 year old pedophile (read: 13 year old girl) wanting to cyber other 13, 14 or 15 year old boys. Too much %? Yes. Such people deserve 0%.
