I suspect that someone has tried to remove their name from my buddy list, which is fine by me. I was blocked by them for a while so it would be no surprise. They used to be a good friend of mine so I never removed their name from my list until a few days ago when I figured that it wasn’t worth it. I log into my account yesturday and got a message like,
“Buddy list could not be opened, but it is saved so don’t worry” or something along those lines.
My buddy list did not appear so I had to relogin. Since I have my reasons to suspect that the friend that blocked me had something to do with it*. I add his name back to my buddy list and “bam” there they are again.
Is that message typical for someone that recently had a buddy purged from their buddy list? I thought that removing your name from someone elses list was transparent. If its not could you explain other reasons for getting that message. Thanks

But when you sign off and sign back on, the formating goes back to how you originally had it.
So to more directly answer your question, no, this happens every now and then, and it was just a coincidence that someone removed themselves from your buddylist.P.S. This is why I back up my BL every month or so just in case they (AOL) claim to save it but it is accidently deleted.
Hope this helps
