MemberOk I have an odd question. I have a buddy that shows offline on messenger and they show offline on my buddy spy but when I pull up their profile it says they’re online. So which is it? Are they offline or online and somehow blocking buddyspy?

Memberwell it depends on what version of buddy spy you have. The old one started showing everyone off line. You may need to get the updated version. It seems like the newer one is just a little better but not by much. I doesn’t always show which room they are in. But, does show if is online. Good Luck

So which is it? Are they offline or online and somehow blocking buddyspy? It could be exactly the way it says it is. You have to take into consideration that profiles show you as on-line if you are logged onto your id in a game or chatroom, if you don’t have it set up to hide your on-line status. So if they show up off-line on messenger through buddy-spy it could be that they are simply not logged onto messenger but playing a game in Yahoo Games (which shows them on-line in profile). Other than that, the only true way of knowing would be to ask them, but that doesn’t guarantee they will be honest. Hope this helps a bit.

MemberAnother think I’ve found is that if the person doesn’t log off correctly or fully from the web site. Yahoo could show them as online for quite awhile after they’ve actually left.
This just means yahoo hasn’t gotten the word that the person signed out, because maybe the person just clicked the X instead of logging out.
Please don’t take any of these programs as “FACT” They are wonderful programs, but they are by no means perfect.
They may pick up an accurate reading, however the program is not going to tell you that that person has been disconnected, or decided not to log back in after they got booted, etc.
