i dont know if this is a bug or just my computer but sometimes when i type to a friend they dont responde so i send more IMs like hello??? ar you there??? then like 5 min. later they’re like hello?
so it seems to be that sometimes if i type to someone they dont see what i wrote and vice versa..this familiar to anyone? is there a way to fix it? or do i just have to wait til the next release from aim?

If that doesnt help too much, then there really isnt anything we can do. I would advice you to just wait until the Final Version of AIM 5.5x instead of using the Beta, those can be kind of messed up:p. My guess is that its probably a problem with the AIM servers, so just give it time. Eventually (and hopefully) they’ll do something about it.
thanks for the help but i dont have quite the same problem as you. its the same general idea but not exactly the same. i can talk to my friends but throughout the convo my IMs wont get through to who im talking to and vice versa. thanks for the help tho!
Does the problem happen consistently? Is there a delay between every message you send them? If not, is it possible that they might simply be busy, or not paying attention to incoming IMs?
Sometimes I’ll get an IM from someone and not notice it for several minutes… or even longer.
no after about 5 minuts of my friend not responding to what i have been saying “hello??” “where are youuuuuu????” “are you there” my friend will finally say are you there? and i say yes…didnt you get my IMs? (then i will copy and paste the IMs i wrote and send them to him and he says “no i never got them” it doesnt happen a lot maybe like once a day. its just very annoying. and this does happen to mroe than one of my friends. its happened to about 5 different people from my buddyliost when i talk to them.
