current news……….
Recalling federal parliament for an address by US President George W Bush could cost between $1 million and $2 million, the Australian Democrats and the Greens complain. It has not been confirmed whether President Bush will actually speak in parliament during his brief visit to Australia later this month.
Damn.
Could you guys keep him home? please?.October 4, 2003 at 1:59 am #89785Lurking_BiohazardMemberThat’s ok, you keep him there for a while. 😉
October 4, 2003 at 11:11 pm #89783CharlesMemberBush can go where he wants. He is the President of the United States of America. He is the best President we have had in a while.
October 5, 2003 at 7:15 am #89780rustedtightMemberSo you want us to pay 1-2 million$ for pleasure of maybe not even hearing him speak?
OK, that seems fair. 😉No… he cant go where he wants, he goes where he is invited.

October 5, 2003 at 6:55 pm #89782CharlesMemberWas he invited to Iraq? I didn’t think so. But he did it anyway. Why? Becuase he is great enough to do it.
October 5, 2003 at 8:40 pm #89786TigerbladeParticipantShizna69, I agree with you in part, that Bush is the best President we’ve had in a while, but no he can’t go wherever he wants. He can’t just force his way into whatever he wants… rustedtight is right, he goes where he’s invited. America may be powerful, but its not all-powerful

How about if the U.S. paid that amount for you guys to keep him for a bit? Would that be fair enough?
Please say “yes”!
