Hi:
We are new to WLM and so far we cannot find features that allow audible
signals that indicate a connection is attempting to be made. This would be
similar to how a telephone works…that is, it rings, you answer. Or you dial
and you can hear it ringing the party you are attempting to call.
Skype has this sort of feature.
Is it possible with WLM?
Thanks in advance.
Have you checked in tools / options / alerts & sounds to be sure the voice call sound is enabled?
Hi devassocx, and welcome to the BBB Forums. As far as I know, WLM does include a phone ringing sound when you attempt to make a video or audio connection with a contact, or vice-versa. To check this, go to Tools>Options>Alerts and Sounds. In Windows Live Messenger events, make sure that Outgoing Phone Ring and Voice Call have check marks next to them.
Hope this helps. Have a good day.
Hi Philip:
Thank you very much for your prompt response…I see where you pointed me and WLM does have the signaling I was looking for. I had just totally missed it.
Thanks again.
You’re welcome, devassocx. And thanks to patndoris too (they did point you in the right direction as well)
