Hi,
I downloaded Cameno 0.2 beta. And when I ran it, it came up with an error saying “Run-time error ‘429’: ActiveX component can’t create object”. Does anyone know what this means or where I might of gone wrong? Btw I have 6.1.0211 and am running message Plus 2.54.75. Not sure if that makes anyone difference? Thanks in advance. :):)I’ve tried Cameno and its very buggy. After awhile messenger was unable to open any conversation windows at all while it was running so I uninstalled it. There is a decent plugin for MsgPlus that will allow tabbed windows. Its not as pretty, but at least it works. You can get it from my site here.
Remember, Beta versions are generally buggy, theres nothing you can do until a final version is released.

you deleted windows messenger did you?.. you need windows messenger to run with cameno. or you’ll get that eror you specified above..
although they have nothing to do with each other.. they need each other.. dont ask, I dont get it either..

thanks for the replies you both sent back, much appericated! Shifter I tried your tabbed windows proggy, it came up with a toast pop up thing saying it was enabled. But when I tried to get back to my contact list page it would freeze up. Was it something I didn’t do right, any tips? Sorry to be a nuisance. Dale, im not sure if I did delete windows messenger. (Most proberly though). Is there anyway I can re-install it back? Thankyou both for your time and many thanks in advance. 🙂The new version of MSN Messenger seems to have broken the Tab plugin. Your best bet is now installing Windows Messenger and Camino. Good luck!

thankyou Shifter you’re my saviour! Seems to be working fantastic now, If I press ctrl alt and del it says its running in the background and had no more errors. So thats a good thing, thanks again for your time and effort. 🙂 Just got to wait for people to come online to check the IM’s bit works. Lol. 🙁[Edit] Works a treat. Opened IM’s and spoken to people with it working. Cheers again! 😉

For those interested, Cameno is a program which brings tabbed windows to MSN Messenger 6.0 and above. You can get the Cameno beta here.
