MemberI have a friend from yahoo that i haven’t heard from for a while and i’m worried about them, is there anyway i can find out more information about them through yahoo so i can try to contact them or find out what there other id’s are or anything like that? I was thinking of ringing yahoo, but doubt they would give out any information.
Any ideas?

MemberPeople switch screen names all the time, this isn’t uncommon at all, lots of different things could of happened. Some people goto college and when they are home, don’t get online much, and when they are at school they get online a lot. I have a good friend of mine, talked to her almost everyday, and we had a lot of mutual friends, no one has seen her in almost four months. It’s not real life, it’s the internet, lots of different things could of happened, they might of lost their internet, or their computer broke down, or who knows what mighta happenend. Only thing you can really do is send them some offline messages letting them know you was worried about them, or you can email them to their yahoo email, or their main email if you know what it is. Online most of the people you talk to you don’t know any of their personal info, phone #, address and what not.

Memberthats a wise advice from Jhonson
there are many people who chat mostly when they are in school… and there chatting reduces considerably when in college… might be b’cos of extra studies/ busy schedule/ new friends… the best way is to call them up/ send a mail (email or postal) and tell them that u r really worried about them…
also as freddy said, Y! (or any good organizaion) wont give you any personal info about any of their users… the only thing they can publish is their ID… (if they have opted to be listed in public directory….)August 18, 2008 at 10:43 pm #92203seren

MemberI agree with Johnson’s post.
But if you get really concerned, and are willing to pay, you could hire a Private Investigator. (Although I don’t know how much useful info you would get.)
