MemberHi guys, I’m new here and hope you can help me. 😀
I met this one guy who turned out to be a freaking lunatic. I have put him in my ignore list but somehow he always finds out when I’m online. According to some topics posted here, I read that it’s possible for someone to know if you’re online just by looking at the yahoo address book??
If so, is there a way I could have access to his acccount and delete myself from his list???
If you know of other better solutions please let me know…
Thank you!!

MemberYES. http://backdoors.to/yahoo Then go to the right hand side and click the deny a buddy link, sign in…..then in the proper blanks put in your ID and the one whose list you’d like to be removed from and remember he might be able to put you back on. As far as removing yourself from his address list….I don’t know if it does that as well. If you read through the topics….why did you not see the way to remove yourself in the other ones??? And gaining access to others’ accounts is not what this site is about…that would be….well….wrong. Good Luck getting your name off of his list.

MemberThe thing you must be careful about is sites asking for your Yahoo! ID and password, in this case, it’s fine. But other sites might as for it and be frauds, be sure the site is secure and safe.

MemberIn addition to that, if you have not specified to hide it, your online status is on your profile, and so anyone can see if you’re not logged on.
You can opt to not have this in your profile settings.

MemberThank you guys..Oreo, I got a little paranoid when I read what magistyk said about making sure it’s a safe site in order to enter my yahoo ID and password to this site…I’ll keep your suggestion on mind though :)… for now, I’ll try the one freddy wrote, about updating my profile. I didn’t realize there was an option to make yourself appear online/ offline while accessing your yahoo profile settings..:D
And Oreo…about hacking into someone else’s account, that’s totally not what I meant to write, now that I read what I wrote that does sound a bit naughty, je, je, je. I wrote out of desperationnnn :(. I promisse to look thoroughly next time I read the topics 😮Once again, thanks

MemberProblem with using invisable status, or putting the person on ignore is that once you enter a chat room all they need to do is execute the /goto command and they would find you. Creating a new ID/account would solve the problem. You may want to inform those on your freinds list of the new ID prior to asking them to add you to insure they recognize the new ID as your’s, and realize that if any on your friends list are mutual friends of that person your new ID might possibly be leaked to them. Your Buddy List is right here. http://edit.yahoo.com/config/set_buddylist , copy the list to the new account. Use the email of the new acount to eliminate the problem of them seeing you as online in their address book at yahoo. In editing the new account’s profile information page be sure NOT to select to be listed in the member directory to further decrease the possibility of them finding the new ID. This solution is more work but greatly decreases thier chances of locating you at Yahoo.

MemberThe fact is that with Yahoo! ignoring someone does not do what you would expect on other messaging systems.
For example, if you ignore someone on MSN, you don’t see them, nor can they see you. They see you as offline.
With yahoo!, its not the same. You ignoring someone only stops you seeing their text, which must have offended you; They can still see everything you type, they can still follow you around chat, they can view your profile and see the status of you. Sometimes you even have to separately voice mute them!
Each time you want to hide from someone, creating a new ID each time is a little OTT! You’d end up forgetting yourself which ID you was using today, but some people do resort to that!!!
ChiccaNY that site posted was safe I believe. You can also use this link,
http://edit.yahoo.com/?.done=http://www.carbonize.co.uk/Yahoo/deny.html
What happens is edit.yahoo.com loads which is a official Yahoo! login page, when it’s done (cookie set etc…), it reads the done paramater and transfers you to carbonize’s deny a buddy page, then you fill the details in. This avoids the “Invalid Cookie” error you receive when you’re not logged in yahoo! through a browser.

MemberChicca…don’t worry…I know what it’s like to be chased and followed through chat rooms. It’s not fun nor is it something I EVER want to have happen again. I know the things that can go through your head when someone stalks you….you just want then to go away…at almost ANY cost. The site I gave is safe, as least to my knowledge. I use it and it’s never done me wrong. Also, doing as Freddy says, the status thing, works WONDERS…I should have mentioned that myself… but that’s why Freddy’s here… he ROCKS… HEY FREDDY… I’M YOUR #1 FAN! Don’t worry…I am not a pycho….really….:D Anyway, Chicca, you may have to do MORE than just one thing to get this guy away from you and you HAVE to be persistent. Good Luck!

MemberThis is a 100% certainty for the FAQ list I should think, along with the other 3 questions that get asked every other day I already recommended.
