Can you exit AOL/AIM but have a awaymessage up.. like u will stay on, but no one that comes on your computer can see that your on?.. and all the people on your buddy list can see thats your on and have away message up?
You can sign up for http://ai-buddy.com and do it that way, but you cannot completely ‘hide’ AIM locally.
