You may want to try out Trillian, if you leave it connected and the chat window open to whomever you would like to see, it will show when they connected and disconnected. Otherwise, perhaps people with more MSN knowledge know about a plug-in (which is a little program add-on to your messenger) that may solve your problem. And you did a fine job with your English. Who knows…it could even get better if you keep writing and posting here with us 🙂
February 9, 2006 at 11:45 am #138028narayananMemberI remember Messenger Plus, a plugin for MSN Messenger having something like this(its been quite a while since I’ve used it). I cant recollect what the exact settings were. Perhaps a current MSGPlus user would be able to guide more specific.
Meanwhile if you want to explore the addon: http://msgplus.net
PS: MSGPlus keeps those status logs (locally) only when your MSN is signed on when you were away.

It logs events regardless of whether you’re at the PC or away.

I really appreciate it. From Chile, a long and thin peace of land in the end of the world with beauties places, like Torres del Paine, and spectacular park in the chilean Patagonia. Amazing!!
Thanks again

I am looking for something similar to Yahoo Buddy Spy – a tool that would allow me to check someone’s status even if they’re not on my friend’s list. If not, is there any workaround to accomplish the same end result? Thanks for your help.

Microsoft work hard and are working hard every single day to ensure that their huge community (MSN) is respective of its members privacy. As such, they have eliminated any means of discovering a persons status (if they don’t want it to be known). Of course, this is until someone finds a new way – but as far as I know, none exist currently.
