MemberThere is no way to do this, HTML of this sort is prohibited in AIM profiles. You can put a link to a song on the internet though.

MemberThere is a program called AimAmp,I haven’t installed yet and not sure if it works or not.
In read me file it’s written something like this:Quote:quote:aimamp away v1.0about: customize your aim away message a little more, particularly
if you’re a music lover. if you’re using winamp and aim at
the same time and want people to know what you’re listening
to, aimamp will do the trick.how to: just like aim already does with %n, %d, and %t in away
messages, you can now use %s and %a which represent the
song title and artist respectively. open up your winamp
and play a song. sign on aim as well. once you feel like
putting up an away message, open up aimamp. a list of saved
away messages will appear in the drop down list, choose
from one of those or type up your own in the text box.
if you want to save or delete an away message, just click
either of the buttons and automatically it’ll be deleted
without wasting your time.
wherever you put the %a in the text box, the artist of the
song (currently being played in winamp) will appear in
your away message. as well, wherever you put %s, the title
of your song will appear in the away message. the message
checks for a new song about every 5 seconds so if you’re
flipping through you’re playlist it won’t kill your comp
speed by changing the away message every second.works with: i’ve tested it with aim 4.7 through 5.1 and it works as
intended. may not work with early early version of aim
but i’m not sure. as well, doesn’t work with winamp3.0.
works with other previous versions of winamp.
for best results your mp3 files should be:
Artist – Song format.a must: you must have a message.brb file in the directory in which
aimamp.exe exists. this is where the prog loads and saves
your away messages. if you don’t have it then the prog will
shut down when you try to open it. if you don’t have the
brb file then just open notepad and save a file as it.September 14, 2003 at 2:57 am #90603Jeff Hester

MemberI can’t get it to work. Everytime I try to unzip it it brings up a little white box, and it won’t let me. Please help

KeymasterThanks Melis! I think we need to add a download section to our AIM Center. If for no other reason, it’ll make it easier for ME to keep track of all the add-ons. 😉
BillyJoeGoats: What version of WinZip are you using? I’m running 8.1 and it worked fine. The zip file is configured to open up a comment window before you extract the file, and if your zip software doesn’t support comments, that might be the cause of the “white window” you’re getting.

MemberJeff: I’m using version 8.0. I’ve been using the winzip a lot today. I’ve tried to download a program called Euro-Screenshots, and it hasn’t worked. I’ve also tried using it to unzip Chips Challenge, another post on this forum. The white window i’m getting says the following:Please do not try to open aimamp.exe without unzipping it first.

A forum is a place to hold an open discussion, not a place to seek contact with eachother. Right now, your post is meaningless. Why? We don’t learn anything from it.
Just post your experiences and knowledge on here, don’t ask us to contact you personally.

MemberThere is a way to play music in your profile. Your profile just will not open up in your regular “INFO” Window on AIM. It’ll end up opening in your internet explorer or MSN (or AOL) browser window.

ParticipantI wrote a program several years ago that puts a song into your away message along with a custom message…but its only compatible with Winamp 2.x.
Contact me if you’d like to get it.
