Hi,
Well im new to making yahoo 6.0 skins. Im really interested in it and would like to make great skins like the rest of u. I have read the tutorials on EliteNicks Site i think it was, but im still not understanding it that great. Im not sure how to do the shade effect, wIthout doing every lil color yourself 1 by 1. So if anyone could let me know how to do the shading alot easyer please let me know.. p.s. im also editing the images through ultimate paint. Im also new to the program aswell. Well thanks..
Thanks for stoping in and taking ur time to listen to wut i got to say. 😉
Using Ultimate Paint or MSpaint takes alot of time. You basically have to do stuff pixel by pixel. Maybe try Gimp if you want to start getting more advanced. Its free and I hear it is decent (never tried it). Otherwise fork out the cash for PS or PSP
WoW Thanks Man That was Great

Actually Toebee,
I read that tutorial from ur site. From wut u told me in this frorum about how to shade. I really dont understand. umm i guess i’ll just have to look around or keep trying. Like u said for me to try Gimp. I’ll have to do that and see how that goes.. But if anyone else can help me how to make Skins, witch i mean in shade’n and stuff that would be awsome of you. Thanks:cool:
Lets just say with MSpaint and Ultimate Paint it is virtually impossible to get shades. You need the use of “Gradients”. Which is actually more than one color fading from one to another. I did a search for gimp gradients and found some so you should be able to do it with gimp
Okay thanks alot. I’ll see wut i can do from here now. I’ll probley have more questions down the road.
