My laptop was stolen and I would like to cancel my MSN messenger account, but I do not have the machine that it is installed on, I would like to open a new account on another machine. I am afraid that whoever has my laptop will be able to access everything. Can someone help my by letting me know how to cancel the account if I do not have the computer that it is installed on????
You can and should change your accounts password:
Go to https://accountservices.msn.com/ and Select Credentials -> Change your password.
You should definitely change your email password too.
If you are using Hotmail address as your msn address, this will change Hotmails password also.
If you rather want to close you account, then select Customer support -> Close your account
That is correct haza but I just wanted to say that I’m sorry they stole your laptop Kellykel35! Bad luck =(
thats very unlucky, i wish people would just be normal and respect peoples property.
Oh no! That is too bad 🙁
Everybody should protect their laptop with a startup password. It will prohibit any access to the computer at all.

yes that is correct, you can also set up McAfee, if you use it, to be password protected when you boot your system up and if they cannot get your password it will block all internet access, quite handy, just make sure the password is different 🙂
if someone opened the laptop and took out the battery on the CPU wouldn’t it reset the password or no?
Nope.
