I just tried to sign on to AIM, and could not do it. I can sign on with AIM Express, but not with the AIM client.
I checked the firewall, and found nothing to stop it from connecting.
I disabled the security certificate too… still no luck.
Any ideas?January 5, 2004 at 12:24 am #86598Grim ReaperMembermine does this sometimes too…i always just have to wait about 10 minutes and then it signs on fine.
January 5, 2004 at 12:43 am #86607FimusMemberhmm, when it happens can you sign on AIM Express?

January 5, 2004 at 1:01 am #86601DavidParticipantAre you on Dial-Up or Broadband? Are you running a LAN with a router? You’ve tried rebooting your computer – right?

January 5, 2004 at 11:02 pm #86611FallenOne97Memberthis often happens when you are connected to a network LAN or a cable modem. since you are using a static IP address alot of people in your area could be signing on to AIM at the same time and it appears to the AIM server that they are all coming from the same location so in an attempt to slow things down they make you wait about 5-10 minutes to re sign on again. when i am up at school the same thing happens since we are using an intranet network there. hope i helped.
