Okay I d/l a skin from yahoo. I then found another skin to d/l from yahoo to try and replace it. I can not get the new skin to work. I have tried many things and can not get it to work. This is my first time dealing with skins, but I have tried to do research on this issue and found nothing. Please help me out.

CatsPlease read through the FAQ at the top of this section, your question should be answered there. More than likely, you either dl’d a skin for an older version of messenger or you extracted the skin to the wrong place.

Thanks for the response. I did read the information given in the FAQ’s section. It isn’t helping me though. I checked and it appears I should be able to use the skin I downloaded. I’m not sure what to do. The file that has the skin in it doesn’t have the skin I currently am able to use on my IM. It does hold the skin I want to use and it has enough in it that it should be able to work with the version of IM I have now. So I am at a loss. Please let me know if this was clear enough. I’m not sure if I’m explaining this correctly.

CatsNot sure… can you give me a link to the skin you are trying to use? That way i can see what the problem is. It could be the way the skin is zipped, or perhaps the way you are installing it.

I’m not sure why the one would work and the other one wouldn’t. Are you sure you did the same thing for both? I had a look at them and they both work fine for me and are set up the same. Try again and then look in your C:Program FilesYahoo!SharedGraphics folder and check that there is a “Bronze” folder in there with the images for that skin.
