A few weeks ago, I put a short away message on AIM. It was just an ordinary sentence, with no symbols, foreign characters, links, etc. When I got back, I pressed the “I’m back” button and everything appeared fine. But ever since, my friends have been telling me that AIM says I’m still away with the same message. It doesn’t appear to me that I’m away, only to other users.
I was using AIM 5.5.3595 and DeadAIM 4.5. Tried logging off, completely uninstalled both programs, including all user data and configuration files, and then reinstalled. Same problem. Seems to be stored on AIM servers.
What gives?
