guys.. i just installed Sygate Firewall Pro.. and ever since i installed it, i cannot use Yahoo Messenger. I can log in to my account, and yet each time i tried to PM someone, after typing a message and pressing enter, i cannot see the message. All i get is a blank window. When i asked the person if he/she received my message *using other means (like trillian)* she did receive my message. i just didnt see it. So now, i am using Trillian instead, which works perfectly. BUt still, Yahoo bothers me… please help me. i dont know what to do..:( 🙁 🙁

Sorry, I have no idea…. but hopefully someone else here might (be patient for a day or 2 😉 )
But… I wonder what happens if you (just temporarily) disable your Sygate now – then reopen YM. Does it revert to normal then, or does it STILL not show you your text ?
Are there individual permission settings for different programs on your firewall? I know that with ZoneAlarm Pro you have to sometimes click a second time for a program to act as a server after you’ve already allowed that program to access the internet. Could be a similar thing with the software you have.
