Okay, when I walk in my computer room, my computer is on stand-by. I move the mouse to turn on the monitor, and then I try to get on to the Internet and AIM. I cannot get to either of them. I always have to restart my computer, then the internet magically works again. There aren’t any errors either, it says that everything is running right, and there seems to be nothing that would make the computer not be able to access the Internet. Any ideas?
When you resume from Stand-by, do a “Start > Run > Cmd > ipconfig”. Do you get an IP and can you see the gateway? Is this a wired or wireless connection?
It’s a wired connection. I haven’t done that ipconfig thing yet, and I can’t do it again until it is in standby. I’ll set it to go on standby in 1 minute, so I can see. I’ll update my post in a minute.
Sorry for taking so long to answer, but I CAN see my IP and my local gateway. I just don’t understand this, it looks like everything is running perfectly.
