I have a big problem,
When I add a contact, they never get my request, and I never see them online (even though they are)
If someone adds me, I’ll get thei request, but don’t see them online, they see me online though, If they talk to me, it says «X is not on your list, Add contact» and then when I click add, nothing happens.
I tried cleaning policy in regedit, as well as clearing the cache
I would please need a solution
Thanks
This is a known issue with the latest version of WLM. There are a number of users who have experienced this problem. Take a look at the response on the Microsoft newsgroup. They are looking for users willing to allow remote access to their machine to try and establish the cause of the problem. Since it affects only certain users it is difficult to find the root cause.
Outside of that, you can try using Windows Messenger if you are on XP, or login to your Live account and see if the contacts appear in the online version of Messenger. I have also seen users who say adding the contacts in some other online based option such as Meebo seems to work.
I’m not aware of any fix within WLM directly at this time.
