Whenever i try and sign into MSN messenger, i get the error message 800b0001. I checked my proxy settings and firewall settings and they both are correctly set for Msn Messenger. My internet still works and i can access all websites except, any site associated with hotmail, MSN messenger and windows messenger. Also, I have gone into my control panel and have clicked repair and it still is not working. I am running the MSN Messenger version 7.0.

did you update messenger yet to the newest one yet thats what happened to me before it went public good luck
Thanks for the advice. I tried to load the new MSN Messenger version MSN Messenger LIve but it did not work. It was just about done loading when and error message came up saying error code ‘1603’. For some reason anything associated with MSN messenger and hotmail does not work on my computer.

Click onopen the Run from Windows Start menu, then type the things below the following order:
regsvr32 Softpub.dll
regsvr32 Mssip32.dll
regsvr32 Initpki.dll
