Ive been trying for a week to create a new messenger account and every time it says connection cannot be established to the server. This has been going on for a week now. It gets all the way through the info collecting stages and right at the end it says it cant connect to the server.
Did Yahoo stop all new accounts? Why cant I create a new account? Anyone have any ideas?
Well, I can’t imagine they’ve stopped new accounts, but I have had the “cannot connect to server” issue before. My experience was centered around voice conference, but it was very annoying and each time has lasted from a few hours to several days. In general it seems fairly random as to when and who it’s going to hit.
Do you have a previous account you’ve been using that still connects just fine? Were you just trying to add another one?
If that’s the case, I’d think it’s probably a Yahoo server issue that will eventually resolve on it’s own, but how long it will take is hard to tell. There have been some very random odd things going on all over Yahoo recently.
Does http://edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_register work?
