Cant display in forum sig.

At http://www.insanes.eckohost.com I tried to add my MSN status indicator to my signature, (http://status.nominis.net:8082/msn/geeker99@hotmail.com) but for some reason it does not allow any images that dont end in .gif or .jpg.
Here is the error message I got: Sorry, an error occured. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don’t know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.(It doesnt have anything on this)

The error returned was:

You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif

Is there a way around this?

You could try using custom icons on OSI 4.6. This would cause the URL to end with .gif. Not sure if this helps. Try!
