Can’t see disply pictures on msn messenger

Hey I’m new at these….never done it before. But I’m having trouble with my msn messenger. I an unable to see my friends disply pictures or personal messages.I have reinstalled messenger, checked all my settings and even installed updates and still can’t manage to see disply pictures or personal messages. It has only happened in the last few weeks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thank you so much Philip, I was a little hesident at first because it was changing settings in the Zone Alarm which is something i was a little scared of doing but it has worked and now i know how to do it. Again thank you very very much.
