hey ppl plz help me i can’t send any file or photo by MSN messenger
it saysWe could not send this file because the connection is blocked. Please contact your network administrator or Internet service provider; they may be able to enable file transfers. so i dont know how to fix this problem..i’ll appreseate if any one can help me…thanks a lot….May 18, 2003 at 8:46 pm #96247detn8rParticipantMost likely caused by a firewall. Make sure that yours, and your contacts (if you have them) are not enabled. Try to resend.

plz help me!!!thanksMay 26, 2003 at 2:44 pm #96255jrj2020MemberIf you use Win XP see if your connection has an XP firewall enabled. Go to my connections then right click properties for the connection you use then advanced tab. Unclick if its ticked.

If you are behind a proxyserver, then no go. You need to be or talk to your sysadmin, but he will most likely not allow this.
If you are behind a router, you need to enable file transfers on your router. For more information read this thread.
If you are behind a computer sharing the internet, it’s a lot more complicated story. In theory it should be possible, I could never get it to work for me though.

No, not at all. A router would actually prevent you from sending files and having voices conversations, unless you configure it. It’s a sort of gate between you and the Internet, much like a firewall.
