When I had MSNM 6.1 and the previous version of MSN Plus, I was able to use my custom emoticons in my away messages. I could type /away Getting :coke: & it’d display my Coke can emoticon. Since I upgraded to the latest version of Plus, all I get is a blank space. Has this happened to anyone else? 🙁

When you set your status as away from the buddly list, a messenger window will appear. You can then set your emoticons in here.

May 9, 2004 at 12:46 pm #80343IMQueenMemberI know how it used to work. They changed it.

May 9, 2004 at 6:46 pm #80342IMQueenMemberYes I’m well aware of that procedure, but I’m telling you I used to be able to use an emoticon when I typed /away in the chat window. I don’t know why it didn’t work for you, but it did for me.
edit: Meh, I just tried an away message with a default emoticon and those don’t work either now. Right hand raised, it used to work with the old version of Plus.
