MemberI can’t view profiles! Everytime I click on someone’s profile, my web browser opens but instead of their profile page loading I get the message:-

The requested URL /delightful_n_dangerous was not found on this server.January 26, 2004 at 8:09 pm #85470sirhc09

MemberThank you. Yes I’ve tried everything. Rebooting doesn’t cure it. I have even manually deleted the Yahoo folder and then downloading and re-installed Yahoo messenger. I have even signed up with new user Ids….still get the same message. I get it regardless of which browser I use e.g.Netscape, IE….so it can’t be anything to do with browser settings.

Membermay be your isp is using a transparent cache and their cache is not pointing to the right yahoo server. i am with ntl UK and also having this problem. i had to configure explorer to use a public proxy with port other than 80 in order to see any profile. if this is the case, please raise the issue to your isp.

MemberWhen I get that error I hit refresh (F5) a few times and that usually works for me.

MemberSeems to be a problem due to some problem between Yahoo and the ISP’s cache or something…
I use NTL and found the following solution (don’t remember where) which works (with NTL anyway):
Start, Settings, Control Panel. Internet options, connections Tab. Click “Lan Settings…” and uncheck “automatically detect settings”. Check “Use proxy server….”. For the server, enter 62.252.192.4 and for the port 8080. Press “OK”. Close all Internet Explorer windows, try again.
