Hey guys!
I read an article today online about Paris Hilton’s cell phone getting hacked into, and all her famous celeb friends’ phone numbers were posted online. Who knows if it’s true or not.
My question is, is it possible for your cell phone to be hacked? Has anyone heard of any other stories?
February 21, 2005 at 6:51 am #115110neo_ny_23Memberhi,
I just did a little googling and came up with this website…
http://www.veridyn.com/kxanblue.htmlIt kinda explains in brief what happens and how it happens.
February 21, 2005 at 8:47 am #115106erasedMemberyes it was true that her phonebook/email address(s) were hacked into and available to the public, a website i go to quite frequently had all of it up and posted including her phone book and everything but i just looked @ it like 5 mins ago and i read that he had to take it down because he had the FBI call him and they had a long discussion about the issue and all that good stuff so that was the only site i knew that it was on…but as of right now i dont think its online anymore….
February 21, 2005 at 2:25 pm #115117ArsenalParticipantYeah I saw it on another site. Some of the guys there even got some phone numbers and called them. Like 2 days later or so when I saw it they were taken down for obvious reasons though. Pretty funny IMO.
February 21, 2005 at 4:23 pm #115103OreoMemberI don’t think it is funny at all. Just because some one is a celebrity (and somewhat annoying IMHO) does not mean that the rest of the world has a right to invade their privacy. It would not be so funny if it were your info and if people wanted to hound you and YOUR friends. Maybe there is bank info or something like that? Not cool and SOOOO not funny.
February 21, 2005 at 4:26 pm #115118ArsenalParticipantI think it’s funny how they allowed it to be posted on the web for that long.
February 21, 2005 at 6:42 pm #115111neo_ny_23Memberthey allowed it for their own publicity. and i dont think u will find it funny if some one hacks ur cell phone and publishes the details on some website. would u?
February 21, 2005 at 6:52 pm #115119ArsenalParticipantWho would want to hack into my phone? I’m no celebrity.
February 21, 2005 at 7:29 pm #115121CoolMindedMemberA local radio station in my area was giving aways numbers that was in address book. So far, no one has stop them.
February 21, 2005 at 9:31 pm #115116StigmataMemberafaik, it was a network problem that allowed it, i dont think it was via bluesnarfing. paris’s stuff was accessed via her ‘my’ page on the t-mobile webstie.
consisting of her: contacts, pictures and her personal notes
February 21, 2005 at 9:44 pm #115120ArsenalParticipantI don’t think you should be continuing posting that, IMO you should edit it out. Just My Opinion though.
February 22, 2005 at 1:33 am #115108RabidKittenParticipantYay for not having a cell phone! And double yay for not caring that you don’t! And triple yay for not caring if anyone hacks into your “super secret” life information because you’d just go and tell anyone anything if they asked!
Unfortunate for those who actually do care about their privacy. Shame shame. People are just too smart these days for their own good.
February 22, 2005 at 4:55 am #115112gossipingraeMemberI wasn’t really asking if it was true or not, but that sucks for her that it does. I was only wondering if it was actually possible. Now I see that it is.

Dude this rocks, now the middle class Americans can get their chance to get even on Paris.

I don’t see how what happened makes it middle class Americas chance to get even with her. She was born it to money and became famous for being famous. What did she do to middle class America, other then her show The Simple Life, but even that is only still around because middle class America keeps watching it.The only people to suffer from this is the people that will have to change their phone numbers and E-mail addresses to keep from getting flooded with calls and E-mails.
