How do I change the fonts on my desktop icons, and the icons in my folders?…I tried doing it in control panel. I have an xp theme installed, so it changed all the default fonts and it might be stopping me from changing the fonts back. How do I override it, and change it back to Windows Default Fonts?
I take it you’re using XP then? Here we go!
Start >Settings >Control Panel (A New Window Comes up) >Appearance and Themes>Display (New window Comes Up)
Switch over to the “Appearance” Tab on the new window, then hit the [Advanced] Button
Here you’re going to want to hit the dropdown box labled “Items” and go to “Active Title Bar”.
The “Font” Dropdown box below it will turn on and you can change it from there.
You’re going to want to do this for the Items:
Active Title Bar
Icon
Inactive Title Bar
Menu
Message Box
Palette Title
Selected Items
Tool Tip
Hope that helps
Oh yea…forgot about the drop down Menu. No wonder I couldn’t find “icon” to change the fonnts.
Thanks a ton dude.
Not a problem *slaps on her detatchable male genetalia* Glad to help.
A quicker option is to right click on your desktop and go to properties…the same window will pop up!
