Of course you can! Go to Messenger (top bar), My contact details (drop down menu) and type in your name or whatever you want to go by in the name field. That worked for me!
ok, here is another question… can you change how you see your contacts?
ex: can I change my mom’s name from her first and last name to just “mom”?Yes, again! Click on a contact’s name, go down to view/edit contact details, then a screen will come up where you can put a name in. If you change it here, it will change in your list. There are lots of other things you can do here as well, adding addresses, phone numbers, etc.
