I have heard a rumor on monday, AOL is going to charge AIM users, to register new screen names. Rumor or Truth?
I higly doubt that because if they do that then they will loose a lot of popularity from people joining. The only reason AIM is the most popular IM cleint out there is because, well I think, mostly out of popularity. If they did that, Yahoo and MSN would just walk all over AOL.
But I mean i’ve had my screen names for years. Most people that will ever Join AIM, have had already.

first of all, thats not true, everyday, many people will join. once you hit a certain age in school, everyone in that age group gets it. and that happens all the time. and, no, I HIGHLY doubt this is true. Matt, would you mind telling us where you heard this? i’d like to see the source, because I searched google and didnt find anything.
NOT TRUE. These kinds of rumors pop up all the time, usually with instructions to “forward to everyone on your buddy list!!!”
Unless you see it on our front page, you can safely assume it’s just a rumor. Please do NOT forward to everyone on your buddy list. 🙂
Actually the master, Jeff is actually correct, I actually heard this on one of those forword to everybody on buddy list, the odd part is I heard this rumer about AIM, from my Yahoo list. I dont’ do the forward thing, though I throught this rumor may have been true, but I guess not. Well I have about three screen names, yet I need more.
Anybody got any suggestions on a new screen name? I want something orignal, but i’m terrible at being so. My one screen name i’ve had for almost seven years. I need a screen name to keep in touch with my Online contacts. One screen name I use is for my first in real life, and the other is for girls I talk to online. But I need one to use to talk to people from just online stuff, from Warez to people on here.
