I reported it to bugtraq
Yahoo! Messenger Chat Room Denial of Service Vulnerability
Also I just reported it to idefense.com and secunia.com
I’m not sure when Yahoo will fix this, but, they’ll have to release an updated build of Messenger to fix this. I sincerely hope they fix it (and the ghost logins issue you posted about) for those whom use Yahoo! Messenger alone…
For anyone who doesn’t understand why this happens, it happens because when you’re in a chat room, and somebody sends a bunch of messages the ‘auto-ignore’ feature kicks in. Unfortunately, for some reason, it thinks you’re trying to ignore yourself, hence the barrage of the errors.
P.S. Again, the programs listed in my signature ‘fix’ this from occurring.
I will post everything about this error.
